The 17th c. Jesuit missionary and astronomer, Fr Johann Adam Schall von Bell (湯若望, Tāng Ruòwàng), comforts the ailing Shunzhi Emperor.
The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Peking makes an anachronistic appearance. The present cathedral was only built in the late 19th century.
