Dedicated to the Holy Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In Cruce Salus.
I was baptised on the feast of St John Joseph of the Cross in the Church of the Holy Cross, with my patroness being St Jeanne Jugan, also known as Marie de la Croix. Learning how to embrace my cross, and falling many times. May you learn how to love your crosses too.
Entered aspirancy with the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate on Marymas Day 2012, the Solemnity of the Assumption.
Discerned as long as I could.
24 year old law grad, native of a tropical Asian island known as the Lion City; studying liberal arts in the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit, whose first native saint is St Mary of the Cross (Mary MacKillop)!
...the novelist Charles Dickens could write, after meeting Jeanne Jugan, that “there is in this woman something so calm, and so holy, that in seeing her I know myself to be in the presence of a superior being. Her words went straight to my heart, so that my eyes, I know not how, filled with tears.”
